Senior House Democrat John Conyers is demanding that Hillary Clinton demote Rajiv Shah, head of USAID, in which capacity he’s leading U.S. relief efforts in Haiti.
Does Conyers think that Shah lacks competence to carry out the incredibly important task of saving lives? No. The Hill reports that Conyers is angry that Shah “showed up at a meeting with the 42-member Congressional Black Caucus without any African American staffers in tow.”
Conyers writes in a letter to Clinton:
Dear Secretary Clinton:
As you know, the 42 member Congressional Black Caucus met with Rajiv Shah, the Administrator of the U.S. AID yesterday to discuss the crisis in Haiti. I was alarmed and chagrined to learn that none of the approximately dozen staff he brought with him were African American. This is so serious an error in judgement that it warrants his immediate demotion to a subordinate position at AID. It is well known that there has long been an under-representation of minorities in key positions within the State Department. I am confident this Administration will immediately begin addressing this problem.
I look forward to meeting with you on this matter.
This is one of the dumbest things I’ve heard from a politician.

“Best man for the job” is my motto, so if the whites, hispanics or japanese americans got the staffers job good for them and tough on the african americans…they can join the black panthers and intimidate people at the next election.
Under Obama, every other staff member and appointee is black, even though only 15% of the US population is black. When Michele visited New Mexico during the election, all of her staff including security were black…every single one of them. She simply can’t stand white people.
Conyers is nothing but a crook. He and his young wife Monica are dirty and into taking bribes…Monica Conyers was thrown out as a the Detroit Councilwoman for taking bribes. Her Senator husband even wrote a letter of recomendation to the people she was bribing in a Sludge deal…yeah, that right, a Sludge deal for the city of Detroit.
We all know what has become of Detroit…well Conyers has been a Senator from that district for 21 terms. And the blacks of Detroit and the surrounding area keep on voting this crook in…I guess after 21 terms, they deserve what has happened. Conyers and his cronies get rich on bribes and graft while Detroit and Michigan are dying a very slow death.
Frankly, what I’ve seen and heard from the Black Caucus is a disgrace and an embarrassment. Most of them have a hard time expressing a single intelligent thought…but the black community keeps voting for them precisely because they are black and for no other reason.
Bribes? In Detroit? And she got fired?

I got past two paragraphs before I started gagging…sorry, I couldn’t finish reading this moron’s ignorant, socialist pap.
Well…our state is way in the red now. When Gov. Richardson came on as governor, a Republican governor gave him a state in great shape, in the black with lots of money saved up in the state lockbox. So what did this jerk do…why he and the Democratic house and senate spent and spent and then opened and spent the lockbox…now, per person, we are in as bad as shape as California. And Richardson, in his latest speech, had the nerve to tell us what a wonderful job he’s done for us. He is leaving this state in terrible shape and a Republican governor is sure to win. Richardson and his cronies have cost this state billions in bad investments and kickbacks…but Holder has ignored Richardson’s crimes against this state and given him a pass. I wonder what kind of job Obama will give Richardson when his last term is over. Maybe Treasurer…that will give him and his sidekicks even more of our money to play with.
BTW…I’ve come to the conclusion that Democratic politicans are not only wrong-headed about everything… but crooks…big time.
While House Democrat Patrick Kennedy is busy knocking Senator Scott Brown for wanting to be sworn in because his appointed Mass. predecessor continued to vote on bills (which is suppose to be against Senate rules…but with the Democrats, anything goes), Paticks’s polling numbers are plummeting to 35% approval from his constituents in Rhode Island. Maybe Kennedy’s support of Obama’s 800 billion dollars of a wasted stimulus, healthcare bill and cap and trade tax while Rhode Island has 12.9% unemployment has something to do with it.
Patrick was gifted his RI House seat by daddy who spent loads of money buying it for him while a sophmore in college. Lucky kid, he never had to look or interview for a real job.
Patrick is a typical Kennedy, screaming at airport security people…”Don’t you know who I am?” for looking in his briefcase. He wrecked his car at the Capitol in the middle of the night while zonked out of his head on drugs…and off he went for counseling to a plush resort for a week or two to straighten himself out. The Catholic Church has banned him from taking communion for his stand/vote on abortion, etc.
But…what will Patick do if he loses in the next election…he’s never had to work, he has no experience. But, he will be able to continue to suck at the teat of US taxpayers with a very generous retirement and healthcare package at the ripe old age of 43.
